We are thrilled to announce that 12 of our Developing Artists are travelling to South Korea to participate in the Seoul Friendship Fair from 4 May to 10 May 2016, adding another exciting event to NAISDA’s 40th Anniversary program.
The NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet approached NAISDA to represent New South Wales at the Fair following an invitation from the South Korean Government to participate in this wonderful multicultural celebration.
The Seoul Friendship Fair is attended by 300 performance teams from sister cities from over 14 different countries, as well as teams from foreign embassies, tour agencies, and cultural centres from over 60 countries. A wide spectrum of unique cultural events will be taking place, including traditional performances and sampling of cuisine from around the world. Other events include traditional costume shows and a traditional folk art exhibition. This year, the Fair is celebrating its 25th year.
