Scholarships

Each Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young person is given the title of Developing Artist (DA) at the start of their journey at NAISDA.  Our DAs come from regional and remote communities all around Australia.  It is vital that our Developing Artists feel “at home” while they are studying with NAISDA to enable them to complete their studies.

As young people, our DAs can experience a number of challenges, particularly if it is their first time away from home.  NAISDA offers additional support with issues such as finances, life skills, literacy and numeracy, accommodation, sometimes language barriers as well as emotional challenges when they miss family back home.

If you would like to make an active contribution to a DA’s education and life by sponsoring them with a Scholarships package, then please select the option below:

  • I would like to sponsor a Developing Artist.  My Scholarship/sponsorship will be used to provide dancewear for the Developing Artist, health and wellbeing costs (i.e. medical, prescriptions and Physiotherapy), educational resources and travel costs for cultural exchange trips.

If you would like to sponsor one of our Developing Artists, please click GIVE NOW and select Give a One Off donation or Give a recurring donation.  Then click on: Special Message and select: Other.  You can then type in that you would like to sponsor a Developing Artist or provide a Scholarship to one of our Developing Artists.

In recognition and appreciation of your support, NAISDA will include your name on our Donors Page on our website and will provide you with complimentary tickets to NAISDA’s End of Year Production held at Carriageworks Theatre, Sydney.
